Chronicle of the 70s Novel

In 1973, a young girl from the countryside finds herself transported to a rural family in an era where survival depends on food stamps for eating, cloth tickets for clothing, and letters of introduction for travel. Business enterprises are branded as speculative profiteering, and obtaining employment requires urban household registration. Struggling to adapt to this harsh new reality, she must contend with an indifferent mother, a troublesome younger brother, and an elder sister prone to poor decision-making. Her circumstances seem unbearable. Fragmented memories from her previous life offer little comfort, having faded considerably over time. Adding to her confusion is a mysterious magical storage ring filled with countless objects whose purpose and origin remain unclear to her.
