After a night of beer, the protagonist wakes up possessed by a ruined fantasy novel. Having fulfilled their destiny by saving the world from the demon king and dying, they expect to return home. Instead, they find themselves thrust into Part 2 of the novel, revealed by a system message. Frustrated by the unexpected continuation and a "cursed, ruined work," the protagonist attempts to negotiate with the author. The deal: complete Part 2, which involves childcare, without being discovered, and they will be returned to their original world. Despite vowing to finish the parenting duty quickly, the protagonist encounters familiar comrades from Part 1 who have changed strangely. Adding to the complication is a significant secret held by the duchess they now inhabit. The protagonist questions if a return home is even possible.
