Dr. Cameron Williams and a young woman from a local farming family maintain a secret romance, carefully concealing their relationship from the community. They exchange only casual greetings when passing on the street, while using a scarecrow on her parents' eight-acre vegetable farm as a covert messenger—leaving notes in its pocket to arrange their meetings.
