Kill the Lights by Jangryang Mason, a mercenary, meets his end on a mission after a unit betrayal. Simultaneously, Hollywood actor Haley Lusk, once a child star, succumbs to a drug and sex addiction, his adult career marred by a disliked personality and poor acting. Despite his flaws, Haley publicly confesses his feelings for Noah Raycarlton, leading to widespread animosity towards him. Haley then suffers a fatal heart attack. Mason awakens in a hospital, discovering his consciousness has transferred into Haley's body. Told he died from an overdose, Mason, now inhabiting Haley, resolves to live a second life. However, Haley's past actions create significant friction with Noah and others. Mason soon recalls knowing Noah from his previous life as a child.
