Kreig spent 130 years in another world, with the last three decades consumed by relentless warfare against subjugating armies. Upon his return to Earth, he discovered only 10 years had elapsed. Unknown to him, he had earned the title War of the North, as no one could approach him to deliver the honor. Everything changed when a portal opened, allowing Kreig and soldiers to reach Earth, one of many portals that have existed since his original summoning. These portals granted Earth's inhabitants abilities once exclusive to the other world. Now returned, Kreig seeks the peaceful life he once knew. He willingly surrenders to authorities, only to face difficult questions about his identity, his decade-long absence, and his extraordinarily high power level. Mentally scarred from imprisonment, lost comrades, betrayals, and three great wars, Kreig struggles to move forward while the world refuses to let him rest.
