Michael Forsythe, the hardened protagonist of the Dead trilogy, is forced to return to Ireland when two Colombian assassins corner him at the Lima hotel where he works security. They compel him to accept a call from Bridget Callaghan, a dangerous former lover whose husband Michael once killed. She presents an ultimatum: find her missing daughter in Belfast or face execution.
