Super Check-in System: Beginning of the movie ‘The Grudge’ Novel

Chen Lu discovers a mysterious and unpredictable Check-In System that grants him extraordinary rewards. Checking in at his bathroom earns him one thousand dollars, while visiting his apartment rooftop grants him powerful fighting skills. With each new check-in location, Chen Lu receives increasingly valuable rewards. He begins to envision a future of wealth and leisure, imagining himself becoming a millionaire and living a carefree life with a rich wife. However, the system's true nature soon reveals itself. Chen Lu realizes that the check-in locations are not ordinary places, but settings from horror films. The locations correspond to scenes from Ju-on (2002), Dead Silence (2007), and Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (2018), among others. What Chen Lu believed would be his path to prosperity becomes a terrifying challenge as he must navigate through horrifying movie scenarios to obtain his rewards. The game has only just begun, and its sinister nature threatens to transform his dreams of easy wealth into a nightmare.
