I looked at my noble form in the mirror. Such beguiling looks that no one can resist my charm. I smiled widely when I applied a dark red lipstick on my lips. I rarely do that but it suited me so much and made me attractive too. I wore a black mermaid gown, the fitting was so perfect to my body. I was getting ready for Candice's wedding. I looked so pretty.
Christian entered and he was supposed to be surprised looking at me but I did that opposite. I was taken aback by his looks. His godly looks are away pleasing. Like I couldn't take my eyes from him. I felt so glad to have him as mine. He was wearing a black three buttoned suit jacket along with a black shirt and red tie, cuff links and a brooch with a ruby fixed at its center. He seems so tempting and what made me weak to my knees was that his tie was slightly loose and a button was opened. I gawked at his charming form as I was totally enticed by him. His flawless feature and that dominating aura made him so irresistible. And those soft locks that are perfectly combed. He is an epitome of beauty.
"You're a.. flawless beauty. Sometime you made me feel insecure." I muttered observing his every feature and embedding the feeling of temptation into my core. He let out a chuckle as he walked closer. I timidly avert my gaze. He stood in front of me, as his eyes scanned me for a second. My heart skipped a beat when I felt his sharp gaze which gave a look of a hunter as he was filled with allure.
"Don't look at me like that.." I said shyly as I felt blood rushing to my cheek.
"No, No, I was wondering how I make you insecure."He said, getting out of his thoughts. He wrapped his arms around me as he pulled me close. His nose brushed against mine as he completed his sentence, "When you are the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes upon." He complimented me. I felt so elated, my heart fluttered with happiness. His compliments always flattered me. A smile crept upon my lips as I looked at him with the same loving look he is giving me. He kissed my forehead as his eyes travelled to my lips, "They are desirable. But, too bad, I don't want to ruin it." He said. He narrowed his eyes but then a smirk appeared on his lips. He walked towards the dressing table and picked a cotton pad and began to search for something. He picked the makeup remover as walked towards me. I took a step back and said, "No Christian, don't."
"Oh, come on. You can apply it again. Just one kiss." he whined like a kid. I blushed furiously and shook my head 'no'. “Don’t act like a kid and put it back.” I scold him.
“Please.” He gave me puppy eyes but it didn't have any effect on me. I won’t let him ruin my makeup.
"I said no." I said sternly. He puffed as he sighed and put the cotton pad back. "Stingy." He mumbled but then I chuckled at his behavior.
We then left for the wedding.
We entered and I saw Candice in her Red-colored wedding dress. I spare a glance at Tyler who was sitting sadly in a corner.
Christian parted ways and went to Tyler not before congratulating Candice. I hugged her as I exclaimed, "Congratulations! God, You're looking so pretty, Girl!"
"Thanks. And you're also looking very beautiful."
"Thanks. By the way, where is your groom?" I asked. Her mouth gaped and my heart skipped a beat, my throat dried as I mentally prepared myself for that unbearable moment.
Candice took a step back and turned to look around as she replied, "He is not here."
"You go and find her."
"No need. I'll send someone else there." She smiled. "No, you should go or else someone else might fall for him. Go and get him. I want to see you together." I asked- almost plead. She raised an eyebrow at me but shrugged her shoulders, "If you say so." She said as she left to find her soon-to-husband. I turned as my blood boiled when I saw a girl shamelessly flirting with Christian. I grit my teeth and went to him. I smiled widely and stood beside Christian, he turned to me as I smiled, "Christian, where's Tyler?" I asked. He moved a little and pointed at him, who was sitting there depressed. Then the girl was about to put a hand over her shoulder and I casually took a sip of my drink and warned her, "Don't you dare to touch my man, girl." I spare a glance at her. Her hand stopped in the mid air as she mumbled my name, "Sophie.." I turned my face to her and her look of scoff was turned into dread.
"I dare you to do it." I said sweetly, hiding the venom in my voice.
"H-Husband? I-I am sorry. B-Brother." She shuddered as she quickly apologized and left. Christian said in amusement, "Wow, what a presence." I smirked and turned away.
"Most of the people here know me." I said casually.
"Sophie is J-e-a-l-o-u-s~" He used my words on me. I turned to him and replied, "I will never tolerate my man with another woman." His smirk grew wider.
"My, My, How possessive." he said leaning in.
"A lot." I again replied monotonously.
He chuckled and pulled away. "By the way, what made her that scared?"
"Oh, that was Kayla, I broke her 3 no 5 bones back in high school."
"Oh, the time when you got almost permanently suspended from your school."
"Hmm. I wonder what stopped them from suspending me?"
"Me." He smirked. I looked at him when he said that, "Of course it would be you."
“No really. It took me a lot of effort to convince them. You are very violent.”
“So you bribed them…” I teased. “You can say it.” He shrugged. “I was joking. And judging you, I believe you did something like this, don’t you?” I asked sternly.
“It was long ago. Leave it.” I glared at him and looked away as he kept passing me his sweet smile.
And then I turned my attention to our guy lost in love, I mean Tyler.
"Tyler, Candice went to find Leon." I said and then he immediately came back to his senses.
"You should have told me before Sister-In-Law." He said exasperatedly and left.
"I should also go." I also left with Tyler, with Christian following me from behind. We were looking for Candice, I guess she must have known about the fact that her soon to be groom is cheating on her.
I saw Candice leaning on the wall panting heavily as silent tears were streaming down her face. I rushed to her side as I put my hand over her shoulder, "What happened Candice?" I asked. She whispered my name and then lifted her gaze to meet Tyler's and then she whispered again, "I'm sorry for not believing your words."
"This doesn't matter, tell me what happened?" Tyler asked coming closer but he already knew what happened.
"Leon.. he..he is cheating on me."
