Nessa entered a teleport chamber and inputted coordinates to her domicile's lower level nourishment station. She materialized in a metal-walled room with a tiled floor, where tubes descended from the ceiling with canisters attached below. Most were empty, though one still held a plastic pouch of food that remained safe to consume. After discarding the used pouch, Nessa navigated through the stations to reach the storage container. She opened its doors to find shelves densely packed with plastic pouches stacked two, three, or even four high, with some shelves lacking space between them. The drawers were similarly crammed to capacity. Recognizing the urgent situation, Nessa activated her implant and transmitted a message to her parents: the nourishment storage unit had reached maximum capacity and required restocking, which she would handle the following day.
