"Thank you, Christian...This is something I can never forget.. even I try to. Something more significant than any other sensation.. treasured.. loved.." She said and smiled widely. My heart filled with content as I grinned. I love how my name rolled off of her lips.
"Just that smile is enough to make my day." I said. I stood up and offered her my hand, she didn't say anything and took it.
"Let's show you around." I smiled and she nodded.
I showed her my workplace. None of the male tried to lift his gaze to look at her because when I 'said' not to look at her that time. She kept looking around in awe and I love watching her like that. As we were looking around, I asked,
"You hungry?" She nodded.
"What do you want to eat?" I asked. She put her index finger on her chin and began to think. A smile crept upon my lips when I looked at her like that.
"Pizza." She smiled with her big round hazel eyes that never fails to fascinate me.
"Here or outside?" Her smile faded and she shook her head 'no'. I gave her a side hug and said, 'Okay." Her smile came back. She is scared to go out, It affected her mind a lot. I can understand it.
"You go and wait in my cabin. I'll be there soon." I said. She nodded and left.
"Take lift. It'll be empty by now." I said with a smirk.
"Okay!" She said and left.
After she left, I ordered a Pizza for her. I stood there leaning on the wall and closed my eyes then I heard someone talking,
"Have you seen? Sir smiled after such a long time." Because of her.
"He can smile too?" She made me.
"Oh you don't know him. He is the best. I'm glad to see him happy."
"Maybe because of his wife. I never thought he could love anyone after Ma'am Merlin but he did." Neither did I.
"She must be special." It's an understatement; She is more than that.
"I thought he's like all grumpy." oh yeah?
"He is anything but grumpy. We have worked for him for years, we know who much of a great guy he is." Well, thank you.
"I never said he is not. I also admire him." Oh, my.
They kept on talking and a slight chuckle left my mouth. I turned and saw them, one of their faces turned pale while the other one smiled. It's obvious who has worked for me for a long time.
"W-we're sorry sir." The scared one, Henry, stuttered.
"Sir, I hope that you didn't stumble on Henley when you're with your wife being the most loving husband." John, my other worker said, he is an old guy. I have respect for him for his devotion and he is a funny old man.
"Unfortunately, I did." I joked.
"Poor you. She must have exploded looking at you guys." He said laughing.
"She is not done yet." I said. And then I realized that I let Sophie alone with Henley, she must have bored her with her non stop talks, I wish she didn't speak more than she should.
I quickly went to Henley to know that she hasn't anything she shouldn't,
"Do you need anything, Sir?" She asked.
"Tell me what you told her?" I asked.
"Oh, that, She said she wants to know about you and I told her what I can. I didn't told her about Ma'am Eleanor's suicide, Ma'am Merlin's betrayal, Ma'am Eleanor name and your previous occupation." I sighed in relief. In that, she just only knows that about Merlin's betrayal, I haven't told her anything else.
"Good." I said as I left.
Then her Pizza came, I entered my cabin and saw her leaning on my desk and looking at my chair. I put the Pizza aside and walked behind her,
"Wanna sit there?" I offered.
"Can I?" She asked with her eyes glimmering in hope. How can I say no to her.
"Of course you can." I smiled. A grinned formed on her lips as she was about to sit but stopped,
"You sure?" She asked again. I gave her a nod and she hesitantly sat there.
"It feels.. weird.." she mumbled. I leaned on the table and crossed my arms at my chest,
"you know you're the first one to sit here, beside me." I said, Her eyes widened,
"Really?" She asked. I nodded, she was about to get up but I put my hands on her sides and leaned in,
"My throne is yours, my queen." I said brushing my nose against hers. She blushed as I pulled away,
"Come, let's eat."

After spending the day, we went home. I took a shower and had dinner. After dinner, I searched for Sophie but she was nowhere to be found. The only place she could be would be rooftop, I went to the rooftop and saw her sitting on the ground, her back leaning against the wall. She looked at me and passed me a faint smile.
"Wait here. I'll be back." I said and left. I took a blanket and a sheet and a pillow and came again.
She seemed perplexed, I laid the sheet on the floor and sat and motioned her to come too, She came and sat beside me as I put the blanket over us and put the pillow behind us.
"I don't mind spending the night here." I said. She smiled and looked down, She rested her head on my shoulder as we both began to stargaze in silence, the silence was so comforting. We're leaning on the wall, my arm around her shoulder while the other is holding her hand, her head on my shoulder giving me solace. I closed my eyes as we remained like that for a while.
After a while, she shifted and rest her head on the wall and pulled her hands from mine and held them out toward the Moon and began to say,
"You know.. I was so close to the light that I could grasp it but.. my hands were tied and I watched that light fade away with my very eyes.. The light of hope that can shine in my world blows out right in front of me...
Everything was about to be replaced with the feeling of fondness, with the feeling of being connected, of being saved, away from pain, away from any abomination but before it can start, it was crushed miserably.
..You know..They kept passing vulgar comments, kept beating me, violating me but I kept struggling because I knew you're looking for me. I know that you will come to save me. You did come but it was too late; they broke me…
